President Stroger Announces Release of Tax Returns
Today, Cook County Board President Todd H. Stroger and the "Stroger For
President" campaign held a press conference announcing that President
Stroger and his wife, Jeanine Stroger, will be releasing their tax returns
for the past two years. In a commitment to remain transparent President
Stroger also invited his fellow opponents to do the same.

Campaign Communications Director's Tax Return Statement
As the President stated in his press conference yesterday, he has authorized
the release of his 2007 and 2008 tax returns. Unlike his opponents who only
talk about being transparent, the President practices transparency.
President Stroger has been thoroughly vetted since his election in 2006.
We'd like to see the same standards applied to his opponents.
